Project Lifesaver™ provides valuable
training in search and rescue techniques
as well as technology to keep individuals
safe that might wander.
The Vilas County Sheriff’s Department
has employees specially trained to work
with fire and rescue personnel and other
agencies to assist in recovering
individuals with cognitive disorders and/or
medical conditions that place them at risk
to wander from home and become lost.
The goal of these employees is to keep
safe those that are most vulnerable while
giving peace of mind to their caregivers.
